What Is Worlds?
The Pokémon World Championships is a yearly tournament to determine the best Pokémon players in the world. Held over several days in a different location each year, Worlds showcases the top Pokémon game competition across multiple tournaments.
The 2022 Pokémon World Championships
In 2022, London, England plays host to what is expected to be the largest World Championships ever. Over four days from August 18–21, the top qualifying Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Pokémon TCG, Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE, and Pokkén Tournament DX competitors will vie to earn the title of Champion.
Pokémon Center at Worlds
One of the most popular attractions at Worlds is the Pokémon Center pop-up shop. Visitors can shop incredible Pokémon products, including event-exclusive items they won't be able to get anywhere else.
A Global Community
Pokémon fans don't come to Worlds only for the intense competition. It's also a chance for folks to get together to celebrate the games and characters they love. The festive atmosphere at the Pokémon World Championships is unlike any other major competitive event.
